Decoding guy talk?

I think you'd have fun decoding how me my guy friends talk.

What are you really decoding though? The geek talk or the noises that we use instead of a actual words?

I can't imagine this getting as deep as the ungeneralized "guy talk can get." When you get in to niche guy talk, now you're getting in to the specialty fields. A single high school example: mer. What is mer exactly? It's a funny noise, and when the guy who is saying happens to be a 200+ pound metal head who wears a different pair of black shorts and black shirt (different only evidenced by the buttons being slightly different in color) it held some quality to it. Didn't hurt that he giggled like a little school girl when people said it to him.

That last paragraph alone is evidence that the scope of decoding meant did not really touch on the level of cryptography employed in natual guy talk.
